Upcoming Art Shows for Carolyn Jarvis

My paintings will be for sale in the Apple Blossom Festival Art Show, Sebastopol Center for the Arts, Sebastopol, CA on April 23-24, 2022. View the artwork of many Sonoma County artists at this show. I look forward to meeting you at their art reception, Sebastopol Center for the Arts, April 22, 2022 from 7 pm to 9 pm.

I will be having a solo art show of my oil paintings at Balletto Vineyards, Occidental Road, Santa Rosa, CA on December 10 and 11, 2022. My art show will probably be held in their tasting room and barrel rooms as it was last December 2021. I look forward to visiting with you during this show.

Dogs in Seascapes

"Holly" - seascape oil by Carolyn Jarvis

A Sonoma County, CA dog-lover just bought "Holly." I enjoyed painted the dog in this seascape--I think Holly made the painting more interesting than just a painting of the sunset and beach. I'll be adding more dogs walking or frolicking on the beach to future seascapes.

"Wine Cave" print by Carolyn Jarvis

"Wine Cave" oil was painted plein air at Kunde Winery in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, CA a few years ago. I remember Kunde Winery staff took us Monday Morning Painters in a bus to the top of their steep hill overlooking their vineyards and tasting room to see the beautiful view. Some of the painters stayed up there to paint. I think they have bus tours up the hill now.

"Yosemite Morning" oil painting by Carolyn Jarvis

On an early morning walk to the base of Yosemite Falls, I captured with my camera a fleeting rainbow. I had to paint the beautiful scene when I got home.

Do you know any other Yosemite National Park viewpoints that might have interesting light at certain times of day?

"Tranquil Ocean - 8"x10" oil - for sale at Balletto Vineyards on Dec. 11 and Dec. 12, 2021.

I've been busy getting some paintings ready for my solo art show to be held at Balletto Vineyards, 5700 Occidental Rd., Santa Rosa, CA on Saturday, December 11 and Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 10 am to 5 pm. "Tranquil Ocean" is one of approximately 35 oil paintings that will be for sale on December 11 and December 12. To purchase a painting at the Balletto show, an employee of the tasting room will ring it up for you.
