"Wine Cave" oil was painted plein air at Kunde Winery in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, CA a few years ago. I remember Kunde Winery staff took us Monday Morning Painters in a bus to the top of their steep hill overlooking their vineyards and tasting room to see the beautiful view. Some of the painters stayed up there to paint. I think they have bus tours up the hill now.

On an early morning walk to the base of Yosemite Falls, I captured with my camera a fleeting rainbow. I had to paint the beautiful scene when I got home.
